swimmer's ear home remedy

The role of a swimmer's ear home remedy is to remove moisture from the ear. It is called swimmer's ear, because it is sometimes a result of getting moisture trapped in it from swimming, bathing, or showering. So all the solutions are about moisture removal, in a safe environment.

Solutions that are put forward in the home environment include using a towel to dry the ear, using a hair dryer, alcohol solution, and even drainage.
When using an air drying method, allow the ear canals to dry out as much as possible on their own by stopping more liquid getting in to the ear. You can use ear plugs for example, or other measures may even be used while the ear is drying out, to prevent more moisture from getting in to the ear.

Another system of eliminating moisture is drying the canals out with a towel. This is completed by either tilting the ear to the side to permit the moisture out of the ear, followed by drying out with a towel. The choice system, is to basically take the towel and rub the insides of the ears, so as much moisture as feasible is removed.

A blow dryer or hair dryer is another option. With this system, make sure your blower dryer is placed on a low setting, and held at least a foot from the ear to dry it out. This must be used with caution. Do not turn up the hair dryer to a higher setting to dry it out faster as this may cause serious damage. This solution is also contraindicated to people with holes or other perforations in the ear as foreign particles may blow in.

Rubbing alcohol is also used as a swimmer's ear home remedy. Rubbing alcohol is usually used by itself or mixed with equal parts of vinegar. A small teaspoonful of the mixture is placed in the affected ear, and then the head is tilted back to the side to permit the excess solution to drain out of the ears. This treatment is also contraindicated to people with holes or other perforations in the ear or ear drum.

Last but not least, another method to drying out the ear is by draining the ears out. This can be achieved by pulling the ear lobe, then tipping the head to the side to permit the moisture to drain out.

These are several ideas for a swimmer's ear home remedy to help you dry out the moisture in your ears.
